Any senior from the participating high schools in Northwest Indiana who satisfies the following criteria is eligible to apply for a Jim and Betty Dye Scholarship:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must have a minimum composite SAT score of 1650.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.25 (out of 4).
- Must be admitted unconditionally as a full-time student to one of the following universities:
- Indiana University Bloomington
- Indiana University Northwest
- Purdue University West Lafayette
- Purdue University Calumet
- Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI)
- Ball State University Muncie
- *Degree specific scholarships for nursing, teaching and entrepreneurship are available. Applicants for degree specific scholarships must meet prerequisites and requirements for that degree program. Contact the university for requirements.
